KEEP CANNAS FROM BECOMING DORMANT
As you dig out plants and tubers to save for next spring, consider this advice
for storing cannas. To have really early plants next spring, keep the tubers
from being dormant. To do this, dig out your cannas keeping the clump of soil
intact. Put the entire clump into a plastic garbage bag and put it (open)
on your basement floor or in a coolish area.
That's it! Your cannas should start to sprout--even in the bag in a dark
area--in April, ready for planting and quick spring growth
